My name is Aura Roy. I was born in Sudbury, Ontario in 1981 and have managed to stay pretty consistent geographically speaking.  During my life I have been a student, a caterer, a DJ, a tree planter, a fast food cook, a wild animal rehabilitator, a tech support agent, a hotel clerk, an accountant, a nanny, a private tutor, a literary event planner and a convenience store clerk. During all of it  if you had asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I would have said a writer.

At the moment I am working towards a submission ready draft for two separate novels. This way I can always feel like I’m procrastinating by shirking one while still remaining productive. I also write the occasional short story. I have not achieved that elusive first writing credit but trust me, you’ll be the first to hear about it when I do.
